Marché Rue Dix’s DSS to JFK Collection Is Serving Senegalese Fashion in Brooklyn
It’s not a shopping trip in Brooklyn without a visit to Marché Rue Dix in Crown Heights. Nestled next to their delicious French Senegalese restaurant, Café Rue Dix, a first look inside will instantly catch your eye and your wallet. From the grandness of their checkered floors and displays showcasing items from some of the world’s best designers; we’re simply enamored.
One of their most luxurious and culturally centered collections, DSS to JFK, is an ode to the founders origins of Senegal. The collection is self-described as “ the journey between Dakar and Brooklyn. It's the intersection between Senegalese tradition and the influence of African American culture. Each piece is handmade with love by some of the best tailors and jewelry craftsmen in Senegal.”
